Terms
What you are agreeing to
Some of this is settled and written down. Some of it is not, and this page marks every place where it is not rather than guessing.
You are about to be asked for $100,000 a month. You are entitled to know exactly which parts of that have been decided. The boxed gaps below are the parts that have not.
No lawyer has read this page. It was written by the people who built the site, to describe what the site actually does, and it is laid out so that a lawyer can mark it up. Where a term has not been decided you will find a labelled gap rather than a clause we invented to fill it.
Who you would be contracting with
Get High is run by Leavitt & Company, LLC, a company registered in Boise, Idaho. That company takes the payment and owes you the work. The person who does the work with you is Dai.
How he is introduced, and what he is not, is on his page. Nothing on it is a credential and it does not pretend to be.
What is for sale
One thing. One client at a time — the whole business, not a place in a queue — and a dedicated one-to-one partner for as long as it takes. $100,000 a month, charged monthly.
The twelve steps are what the engagement does. Twelve days of silence in the Kathmandu Valley, then eleven mountains, in order, ending on the summit of Everest. They are not a separate product and there is no cheaper version of this.
The monthly figure is all of it — the person, the guiding, the permits, the flights, the lodging, the medical line and the expedition itself. There is no second invoice for the climbing. The offer page splits one month into six lines to show where it goes; that is the same month itemised, not another bill.
Twelve steps in six seasons is the plan. A plan is a shape, not a term and not a commitment either way. The twenty-four months on the offer page are how that plan is priced, not a length of time, and nothing here promises them.
What a month contains
This is the clause you would read first if you were paying, and it is not written. Not vaguely written — not written. No number of days, no hours, no location, no availability is stated anywhere on this site, and none is stated here.
To be suppliedWhat a month actually contains. Days in person or not, in whose city, on what hours, and what somebody paying this can expect when he calls at four in the morning. It is the first question anybody at this price will ask, and the first thing a lawyer will look for on this page. Nothing goes in this space until it is decided.
When it starts, and when somebody gets back to you
The site says you start this week, and what it means by that is that nothing here waits on a season, a permit or a flight. The first weeks happen where you already live.
What is not stated is how quickly any of it actually begins, or how long after a payment somebody is in touch. Both are numbers nobody has set, and neither is going to be invented on a page you might rely on.
To be suppliedThe lead time. How many days from the first payment to being in contact, and how many more to being in the room. The site says days. It will not say a number until there is one.
To be suppliedThe response time after payment. Somebody who has just paid this and heard nothing by Thursday is the worst outcome this arrangement can produce. No page states a time, because no time has been set.
How the money works
This part is settled, and it is short.
- $100,000 a month. It is a rate, not a total.
- It renews on the same date every month until it is stopped.
- There is no minimum term written down to sit through first.
- Stripe takes the payment on its own page and holds the card. No card number reaches this website. See the privacy page.
- Prices are in US dollars. Whatever your bank charges you to pay in dollars is between you and your bank.
Nothing on this site charges you twice, and no page asks for a card except the Stripe page the button sends you to.
Cancelling, notice and refunds
It is monthly. You are charged for a month and you get a month. That is the entire claim this site makes, and everything else under this heading is blank.
There is no refund policy, no notice period, no minimum term and no guarantee written down, because none of the four has been decided. A climb that runs until you summit, bought a month at a time, by somebody who took no other clients in order to do it, raises an obvious question about what happens if it stops in month three. The honest answer today is that nobody has written it.
To be suppliedCancellation, notice and refunds — and the harder half, which is what happens to the engagement if the one client stops in month three. Is there a term? Is there notice? Does the seat reopen, and when? Is anything refundable, ever? ever? The card is charged monthly from the moment somebody subscribes, so none of this is hypothetical, and it is the single largest gap on either page. Terms and refunds are written by a lawyer and a principal, never by a web page.
To be suppliedWhat happens when a monthly payment does not collect. The failure is recorded and flagged the moment it happens — but whether the work pauses, whether there is a grace period, and what ends it if the card never clears are all unwritten. Same decision as cancellation.
Who this is not for
If you are in withdrawal, or about to be, this is not the thing you need. See a doctor, not a website. Paying for this would be the wrong decision and money does not change that.
The gate asks for three things:
- You are medically cleared.
- You are past supervised detox.
- You are willing to be told no by somebody earning less in a season than you spend on dinner.
Two of those are not ours to give you. Who checks them, and who turns somebody down, is not written.
To be suppliedWho says no, and on what grounds. One client at a time means somebody is choosing. What is the screen, what disqualifies, and what happens when the person who can pay is the person who should be under medical supervision instead? Nothing here claims a screen exists, and nothing claims one does not.
The part that can kill you
People die on these mountains. Not rarely enough to leave out of a document like this one, and not in a way that money, preparation or company prevents. Nothing on this site is going to be cute about that.
One thing about it is stated plainly everywhere on this site and it is stated here too: your guide can end a step at any moment, without asking anyone, including you. You do not get a vote on that and you are buying the version where you do not.
The shape of the rest of the safety and medical policy — what gets decided, when, and by whom — is set out on the page about who takes you up there, together with the gaps in it. Those gaps are real and they are labelled there too. The terms that would turn that policy into something you could hold anybody to are not written.
To be suppliedThe medical, oxygen, rescue and turnaround terms, in the operator's own words and figures. Which altitude oxygen starts at, what insurance is required, who holds the turnaround call on each step, and what happens to the money when it is used. Every one of those is a number somebody else owns, and none has been given to us in writing. The shape of the policy is on the trust page. The figures are not, there or here.
What else could end it
A mountain closes. A permit is pulled. A doctor says no. Somebody relapses. Every one of those happens.
One of them has an answer already, and it is the one the offer page gives: relapse at altitude ends the season and you come down. That is not a punishment and it is not a negotiation. A season that loses its weather window is the same shape — you go again, and going again takes the months it takes.
What none of them has is a money answer. What any of it costs you, and whether a season restarts, is not written anywhere on this site, and the offer page says so in the same words.
To be suppliedWhat ends the engagement other than the client stopping the payments. Relapse, a medical withdrawal, an operator pulling a permit, a season that closes. Who decides, who is told, and what happens to the money in each case.
What this is not
- It is not medical care and it is not addiction treatment. Nothing here replaces a doctor, and nobody on this site is yours.
- It is not a summit. Nothing on this site promises you reach the top of anything. Weather, health and a guide's judgement decide that, and none of the three is for sale.
- It is not something anybody can do for you. That is the one thing on this site that is not available at any price.
If this page and another page disagree
They are written to agree. If you find a place where they do not, that is a mistake in the writing and not a clever term hidden in one of them. Tell us and it gets fixed.
Law, and what happens in a dispute
The company is registered in Boise, Idaho. Everything past that sentence is a lawyer's work and none of it has been done.
To be suppliedGoverning law, jurisdiction, and how a dispute is actually handled. This is a lawyer's paragraph in a way none of the others are. Nobody on this side of the table should draft it, and a clause copied out of a template is worse than an honest blank.
Ask before you pay
Every gap on this page is a question worth putting to us before you hand anybody $100,000 a month. The form takes no card and charges nothing, and at this end of a decision most people should use it first.
What happens to what you type is on the privacy page.
